Hawaii Porcelain Census
When thinking about Hawaiian porcelain license plates, the first thought is
typically that they are impossibly hard to find and that finding one is like
searching for a needle in a haystack.  And while it is true that they are tough, it
turns out they are not nearly as impossible as most imagine.

The most common of the passenger issues is the 1915 Hawaii County plate, of
which we know of 24 surviving examples, including two pairs.  The next most
common, with approximately the same number of surviving examples, is the
Honolulu 1916.  However, it is interesting to note that there were more than twice
as many of the Honolulu 1916 plates issued than the Hawaii 1915s, making their
equivalent survival rate seem odd.  The rarest of all, for whatever reason, is the
Honolulu 1915, of which a mere 11 examples are known.

Below is a census of all known Hawaiian passenger porcelain license plates.  If
you are aware of any that do not appear on this list, please
email me!  THANKS!
